'Bohemian Rhapsody' is Big Winner at Golden Globes

It was an exciting night at the 76th Golden Globes as Bohemian Rhapsody took home both Best Actor in a Drama (Rami Malek) and Best Picture (Drama). The musical biopic has proven to be a box office hit; as of January 6th, it has achieved a domestic total of over $193.6 million and has grossed over $743 million worldwide according to boxofficemojo.com

Rami Malek, who portrayed Freddie Mercury, thanked the legend in his award speech saying, “Thank you to Freddie Mercury for giving me the joy of a lifetime… This is for and because of you, gorgeous.”

Bradley Cooper was also up for Best Actor-Drama for his role in A Star is Born.and was considered a front-runner. Bohemian Rhapsody’s win for Best Motion Picture - Drama was also considered an upset as A Star is Born and Black Panther were both nominated in that category.
