Black Heart Saints Make Their Mark with EP Misery
Black Heart Saints is an original modern hard rock band out of Austin, Texas. Since 2014, they have quickly garnered attention of the live music scene and have supported major acts such as Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, Sevendust and Pop Evil. Their first full length album Alive was released in 2017.
The band has a four track EP titled Misery due out digitally later this year.
The first released single “Lines” captivated us right off the bat. It contains all the ingredients of a classic rock song; rock attitude, a memorable chorus, and stellar musicianship. Vocalist Josh Ross has a distinctive voice which he shows off perfectly on Misery’s lead off song.
The second track “Crazy” showcases a heavier side of the band. Fast and heavy guitars and funky bass lines dominate this adrenaline rush inducing song.
Black Heart Saints demonstrate their creativity with a fun spin on the Robert Palmer song “Addicted to Love.” Whilst keeping the catchy as all get-out melody, they successfully added a rock flare to the 1985 hit song.
The title track is a stellar production intertwining southern and modern rock. The groovy riff will have listeners bobbing their heads along to it.
Black Heart Saints continue to make their mark with Misery. For avid rock fans looking for a pure rock album with no frills or overproduction, this is it.
