Deep Purple Announce North American Dates for 2019 Long Goodbye Tour

Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Deep Purple announced 33 tour dates throughout the U.S. as part of their Long Goodbye Tour. Kicking off September 3rd at the Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside, California, the tour will wind through the country before concluding on October 19th at the Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Vocalist Ian Gillian explains the reasoning behind the tour title by saying, “A couple of years ago, everyone in the band was unwell. We all had health problems, which have been well documented, and I think somebody-and I can’t remember who said it, probably somebody from the office said, ‘Do you guys want to call it a day? Because you all have got health problems here’. So we said, ‘Let’s call it the Long Goodbye and that way we can make our decision later.”

General public tickets go on sale on May 10 at 10 a.m. local time.
