6-piece rock band The L.A. Maybe is picking up where Guns N’ Roses and AC/DC left off. Lead vocalist Alvi Robinson was one of only four singers to audition to replace Brian Johnson in AC/DC in 2016. Listening to their upcoming album Dirty Damn Tricks, out on March 26th, it is no wonder at all.

The lead single “Mr. Danger” kicks off the album and is chock full of classic rock goodness. The chorus is catchy as hell and grasps the listener’s attention from the get-go.

“Sucker Punch” is the second single and is precisely what the title suggests. This track is four minutes and twelve seconds of pure energy and urges the listener to rock out.

Track four, “She’s Reckless,” delivers a scorching riff and killer drumming to boot. No doubt this song will be one that fans will be jumping and singing along to when the band heads out on tour.

“When I’m Gone” is absolutely a stand out track and showcases the band’s mellow side. The musicianship on this song is impeccable and the bluesy rock feel helps to display Robinson’s vocal talent in a new light.

The last track on the album “Up Next to You” fuses a catchy guitar riff with melodic vocals, closing out the album on a high note.

Ten solid tracks of pure rock goodness, Dirty Damn Tricks will no doubt send The L.A. Maybe to join the ranks of the classic rock bands before them.
